POSITION DESCRIPTION
IBTCI currently seeks a Knowledge Management Specialist (KMS) to support an upcoming Knowledge and Information Management Activity for USAID/Afghanistan. The purpose of this activity is to develop 1) a knowledge management strategy, and 2) an information management tool that, when combined, will strengthen the capture, transfer, and application of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) data, findings, and recommendations for use in programmatic, strategic, and policy determinations. The position will be based in Afghanistan and is contingent upon USAID award.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
· A minimum of a Master’s degree or higher in knowledge management, political science, economics, development studies or closely related, inter-disciplinary fields;
Required Experience:
· At least 10 years of progressively responsible, professional-level experience in knowledge management;
· At least 6 years of experience working on donor-funded mechanisms;
· Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with key stakeholders, including donors, beneficiaries, and local officials to ensure effective collaboration;
· Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex programs;
· Previous extensive working experience with USAID;
· Strong written and verbal communication skills;
· Fluency in English required.

· Work experience in Afghanistan.
