Background/IRC Summary: The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster. Founded in 1933 at the call of Albert Einstein, the IRC is at work in over 40 countries and 26 U.S. cities helping people to survive, reclaim control of their future and strengthen their communities. The IRC has been operating in Thailand since 1975 and currently provides assistance to displaced persons in Tak, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi and Mae Hong Son provinces
Job Overview/Summary:
The five-year IRC Strategy 2020 is an integral and overarching driving force of the Thailand country office. The Strategy calls for bold and innovative approaches in humanitarian assistance, operational management and business development. An exemplar approach to realizing, through evidence and data, the ambitious goals of the Strategy 2020 will require assessments, analysis, testing and eventual implementation of practical tools to ensure optimal achievements in goal attainment.
The Senior Project Coordinator will play an integral role in the analysis and implementation of the IRC Thailand Strategy 2020. Systems, processes and procedures. A primary focus of the position is to ensure the overall IRC Strategy 2020 is fully ingratiated in the country office’s operational, programming and business practices.
Major Responsibilities:
§ Serve as lead staff member on Thailand country program exemplar programming initiative and main focal point for IRC Headquarters central support team
§ Coordinate and integrate testing tools designed to integrate IRC Strategy 2020 in routine core business practices of the Thailand country office
§ Implement testing tools in strategic components including best use of resources, monitoring for action, client responsiveness and context adaptability
§ Ensure practices in program design, implementation and coordination adhere to routine use of data and evidence in all aspects utilizing new and tested tools as appropriate
§ Oversee exemplar project documentation is of high-quality and maintained throughout the project period
§ Work directly with senior management and field teams to test project tools, carry out assessments and guide on implementation
§ Ensure evidence and data is used throughout the project’s duration and routinely used to measure progress
§ Host central support team members during country visits, including planning, development of terms of reference (TORs), communicating with Thailand senior management staff, field teams and ensuring logistical support in coordination with admin teams
§ Analyze exemplar project expenditures monthly, and make recommended budgetary adjustments in coordination with senior management team
§ Write and produce regular and ad hoc reports in accordance with exemplar workplan goals and project expectations
§ Other duties as assigned by country director, deputy director of programs and HQ central support team

Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in organizational management, business, social services delivery. Master’s degree preferred in similar discipline preferred
Work Experience: Minimum 5 years project management or program coordination, strategy development, demonstrating progressive responsibilities and upward mobility
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies: Excellent communication skills; solid organizational management skills; demonstrated competency in human resource management; strong English writing ability; knowledge of non-profit and non-governmental organization structures and systems
Language Skills: Strong English language proficiency, written and verbal. Thai working proficiency desirable

Working Environment*:*** The position will be based in the IRC office in Bangkok, with extensive travel to the field sites in Tak, Mae Hong Son, Ratchaburi and Kanchanaburi provinces.
