Position Description
IBTCI is looking for a full-time ICT Senior Specialist and ICT Coordinator to serve under the USAID-funded Accelerating Capacity for Monitoring and Evaluation (ACME) activity in Bangladesh that is held by IBTCI. The primary purpose of ACME is to develop and implement an M&E system for Development Objectives 2 (Feed the Future) and 4 (Global Climate Change). ACME has identified the need to introduce technology for M&E, including better reporting, tracking, verifying, and analysis of data across all portfolios.
This is a full time position based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The position is open immediately for a long-term assignment concluding in February 2018.
ACME’s ICT Senior Specialist/Coordinator will be responsible for tasks under Data Management and will also support Monitoring and Capacity Building activities.
The ICT Senior Specialist/Coordinator will:
- Design and manage a web-based tool for tracking, verifying, displaying and analyzing data across both the DO2 and DO4 portfolios; Ensure high-quality data provided by Access-based table reporting system for all standard indicators for all projects and affect a transition to AIDTracker+; Institutionalize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and conduct training on its use.
- Introduce a Documents Tracking System to assure that ACME has a central clearinghouse of key documents
- Support the Knowledge Management (KM) Coordinator to establish and introduce a KM Network using Google Drive as a means of identifying key IP-level documents, auditing ACME’s current records management system, and informing all IPs about the latest documents and information available for project management purposes
- Work with KM Coordinator to introduce an Internal Management System based on agenda-driven weekly meetings and, when needed, a short-interval planning system to accelerate activities
- Contribute to collaborating, learning, and adaptation initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Communications, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrated abilities in program/project monitoring and reporting.
- At least 7 years of experience in the development and implementation of communications and knowledge management strategies for major development assistance programs.
- Familiarity with ICT applications for M&E.
- Experience working for USAID-funded programs is highly preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be professionally proficient in written and spoken English (FSI 3 level or higher).
- Must be a citizen or resident of Bangladesh.
