Job Overview / Summary:
The IRC hosts an annual gala, Rescue Dinner, at the beginning of November which serves as the major fundraising event for the year. Attendees include high level individuals from all sectors, including private, public and NGO. Preparations for this evening begin months in advance and require collaboration across multiple teams within Global Partnerships and Philanthropy.
Working in partnership with the Director of Principal Gifts, development officers, events, research and stewardship team members, the Coordinator will project manage all internal components of fundraising for IRC's signature fundraising event, Rescue Dinner. With an eye toward data integrity and thoughtful and responsive collaboration with IRC Board Co-Chairs and the Rescue Dinner Committee, the Coordinator will manage project timelines and all dinner fundraising data, facilitate regular updates and collaboration with key colleagues and support execution of solicitation phase (in partnership with Director). Further, the coordinator will be responsible for procurement and management of all event resources, and will oversee two administrative staff dedicated to working on the dinner.
Major Responsibilities:
1 Project manage all fundraising activity, tracking progress and sharing updates regularly with key LG team members. 2 Draft solicitation and other external facing communications for fundraising by dinner Chairs and Board members. 3 Work closely with Data Manager to enter, track and update fundraising strategies, asks and gifts through Salesforce. 4 Liaise with key colleagues in research, events and stewardship teams to meet project deadlines and produce high quality, collaborative materials and solutions. 5 Oversee administrative support on preparation and mailing of fundraising correspondence, and timely input of fundraising data into SalesForce.

Other Internal and/or external: Internal: Reports to Revenue Department with strong relationships with Special Events team members. Collaborate with the Leadership Gifts team on solicitation and cultivation materials, invitations and tracking. External: High level donors. Board members and Overseers.
Impact of Work: Responsible for ensuring successful planning and implementation of IRC's signature fundraising event, Rescue Dinner.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
Minimum: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Preferred: Master's degree
Work Experience:
Minimum: 5 years progressively responsible experience in not-for-profit fundraising
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies :
Minimum: Excellent oral and written communications skills. Creative thinking to develop engagement strategies with maximum impact. Organizational Skills. Tact and diplomacy. Ability to work independently
