Job Title: Senior Reporting Specialist

Reports To: Deputy Chief of Party/M&E Specialist
Type: Regular Full-Time

Overview:
International Business & Technical Consultants, Inc. (IBTCI), a US-based international development consulting company, is seeking an experienced Senior Reporting Specialist (SRS) for the USAID Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) and Office of Food for Peace (FFP) Somalia Monitoring & Learning Project (SMLP), working in Nairobi, Kenya. This is a full-time long-term assignment based in IBTCI’s field office in Nairobi, Kenya. The anticipated start date is October 2017. IBTCI is seeking a skilled development and humanitarian assistance professional who has previous experience in a similar SRS or equivalent role.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Chief of Party include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for quality and accuracy of all monitoring site visit reports prepared for SMLP
  • Write monitoring site visit reports
  • Responsible for screening incoming subcontractor site visit data for completeness, clarity and accuracy
  • Ongoing coaching of subcontractors and writers to ensure the quality, consistency and timely delivery of all reports submitted to the Deputy Chief of Party/M&E Specialist
  • Support the development of monthly monitoring reports and semi-annual project reports
  • Other tasks as requested

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Significant experience working on international donor-funded development and/or humanitarian aid projects
  • Significant experience leading data quality review
  • Significant experience writing reports on relevant humanitarian sectors
  • Significant experience with qualitative and quantitative data analysis
  • Significant experience with USAID
  • Strong understanding of relevant USAID programming sectors in Somalia

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least three (3) years of work experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, analytic skills, interpersonal skills, and team management skills.
  • Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English

Education: Master’s degree in international development, international relations, organizational development, or a related field.

Working Environment: Work is typically performed in an office environment.

Physical Requirements: This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.
Travel: Travel to Somalia may be required.
