Overview:
International Business & Technical Consultants, Inc. (IBTCI) is seeking an experienced Iraqi Project Coordinator for the USAID Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) and Office of Food for Peace (FFP) Iraq’s Monitoring and Evaluation Program (IMEP), working in all provinces of Iraq with possible travel to countries such as Turkey, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, and the United Arab Emirates. IMEP aims to establish a third-party monitoring system to provide the OFDA and FFP with high-quality data to assess the current status of relief programs and inform future programming decisions based on lessons learned. IBTCI is seeking a skilled development and humanitarian assistance professional who has previous experience in a similar Project Coordinator or equivalent role.
Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for managing data collection and data verification activities in Iraq
· Coordinate field activities
· Train data collection staff
· Verify collected data
· Ensure accurate data is submitted on time and according to requirements
RequiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Ability to interact with public, private, and civil society leaders and groups concerning data collection and surveying for project verification and monitoring
· Significant experience in the humanitarian, transition, or development field, including extensive use and application of qualitative inquiry methods and results
· He/she must have previous experience working in Iraq
Minimum Requirements:
· At least five (5) years of relevant experience
· Excellent oral and written communication skills, analytic skills, interpersonal skills, and team management skills.
· He/she must be an Iraqi National
· Written and spoken English fluency
Education:** Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Working Environment: Work is typically performed in an office environment.
Physical Requirements: This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.
Supervisory Responsibility: The DCOP/M&E Specialist will directly supervise the Project Coordinator and Senior Reporting Specialist.
Travel: Travel to Turkey, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, and the United Arab Emirates may be required
