Job Overview/Summary:
As a core member of the International Programs Department team in headquarters, the International Programs (IP) Coordinator will be required to know the breadth and span of IRC programs and operations around the world. The IP Coordinator will support HQ leadership and the field through project management, communications and knowledge management.
The IP Coordinator will provide project management support to select projects, usually in a cross-departmental effort and scope. He or she will need to quickly break down problems and iterate rapidly towards evidence-based solutions, creating buy-in and building partnerships. This is a challenging position which requires strong strategic problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal skills, a high level of personal initiative and the ability to work well in a distributed, multicultural, fast-paced environment. He or she will be responsible for specific components of a project, leading pieces of analysis that feed into the bigger problem that the team is solving or managing the process across several components. Comfort with ambiguity and complexity, and being driven by impact are critical requirements.
The role will provide leadership on knowledge management, connecting people, data, process and systems. The role will work across departments to leverage and enhance repositories of knowledge, support good processes and identify and make business improvements for a more efficient and effective operating environment. The role will have responsibilities for enhancing internal communications within International Programs Department and supporting the Senior Leadership with high quality presentations and communications that enhance the visibility if IPD issues in coherent, impactful ways.
Major Responsibilities:
Provide project management support for specific areas that enhance IPD operations Proactively identify areas of improvement across operations Ensure data integrity and visibility through reporting and communications Develop, manage and share program data on technical sectors, staffing and budgetary figures, geographical presence to enhance visibility of CPs on internal communication sites
Report on organizational and departmental growth through multi-sourced indicators and data, utilizing longitudinal reporting Oversee information and knowledge management of IPD content on the intranet, including the structure and page content of folders on RescueNet and Box Support the Senior Vice President in the development of presentation, speeches and communication vehicles Coordinate information sharing related to organizations and consortia of which the IRC is a part, such as survey preparation, data compilation, and registration or enrollment Ensure effective communication flows between the IPD HQ offices and IRC's Regional Directors, HQ staff & outside sources Develop high quality presentations to enhance IPD's ability to communicate on its operations and programs against strategy Identify and accept special projects to enhance the overall coordination and collaboration of IPD though stronger operations and knowledge management Engage closely with staff across the IRC who are responsible for planning and implementing change, provide problem-solving support, and facilitate decision-making and consensus-building as part of a team Personally drive specific components of a process improvement or solution, generating critical insights and tailoring and delivering effective communications to drive change, through the proactive solicitation and use of information, problem-solving methodologies and sector knowledge Proactively pursue sources of data and insight needed to complete analysis and share knowledge Contribute effectively to the work-streams of others as required Closely manage progress against objectives, highlighting roadblocks as soon as they arise and taking full personal ownership for high-quality timely delivery Adopt a learning mindset and take personal responsibility for continuous performance improvement, and for supporting the ongoing growth and success of the IPD support function against its broader objectives Key Working Relationships:

Preferred Additional Requirements
Professional experience in another analytic or communications role Experience in a humanitarian or development organization A Master's degree in international development, human rights or another field related to the IRC's work Knowledge of French or Arabic
