Job Overview/Summary: The Supporter Services Associate will cultivate IRC supporters, with monthly donors as a priority, by calling them to thank them for their support and will assist the Supporter Services Manager with sustainer pledge management and symbolic/tribute gift programs. The outreach to supporters is purely a cultivation tool and there is no solicitation component. The position is currently only open to clients who have been either resettled or assisted by the IRC United States Programs' regional office. The Supporter Services Associate reports to the Supporter Services Manager (Rescue Partners and Gifts).
Major Responsibilities:
- Make thank you and cultivation phone calls to IRC donors with an emphasis on monthly donors.
- Send email and note card thank you notes to donors.
- Share own personal story with donors as a refugee and how IRC helped resettle him/her.
- Assist Supporter Services Manager with all aspects of monthly giving program including maintaining and updating monthly donor records.
- Assist Supporter Services Manager with symbolic gift program and tribute gifts by fulfilling requests.
- Help support Supporter Services Managers with donor inquiries via phone and email, regarding making a donation, gifts that have been made, how to make a gift, etc.
- Support rest of Supporter Services and Marketing staff as needed.

Internal: Supporter Services staff, Direct Response Phone Representative, Marketing Team, Strategic Growth
External: IRC Donors
Job Requirements: Client of the IRC US Programs' regional office who has been either resettled or assisted by the IRC is preferred. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
Education: Some college and/or general office/customer service experience
Work Experience: 2-3 years
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies: Excellent communication skills, the ability to speak well, interact effectively and diplomatically representing the IRC over the phone.
Language Skills: Proficient in English
