Job Overview/Summary: The GSC Learning & Development Coordinator will report to the Advisor, GSC L&D and will directly manage the global procedures, support safe fleet operations, and learning & development activities in support of Fleet Operations. Working with Regional and Country Programs across IRC Supply Chain, S/he will be supporting the design and development of learning & Development initiatives and tools in the form of SOPs, processes, and other required job aids for supply chain staff to successfully accomplish their roles. This person will also bring best practices in project management skills as well as monitor the implementation and ongoing successful use of processes across all country programs and establish follow-up mechanisms to reinforce adherence to documented processes.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage the global procedures and training support for Fleet Operations and asset management
  • Monitor fleet operations and support country programs with appropriate follow-up to rectify safety lapses
  • Develop, review and update processes and procedures supported by an ERP system.
  • Provide occasional SC SOPs training on specific tasks, by conducting small group or one on one on-demand training on simple tasks
  • Assist Advisor, GSC Learning & Development and SC teams in the management of internal requests for training resources and content.
  • In consultation with stakeholders at the HQs, regional level and country offices, conduct capacity assessments and document capacity gaps and coordinate with Supply Chain teams on development plans.
  • Gather and evaluate content and training resources to build and maintain Learning & Development library of training resources.
  • In coordination with Supply Chain leadership team and training audiences, support the creation, administration and monitoring of self-paced modules for digital Learning platforms
  • Support the development of new training materials including supply chain tools, training videos, demo scripts, certification materials, etc. with enthusiasm and innovation.
  • Conduct Global supply Chain employee engagement, as well as customer satisfaction surveys and prepare reports to facilitate implementation of appropriate interventions.
  • Change/transition management to ensure that any changes are effectively integrated into the business
  • Participate in the coordination of materials needed for GSC staff newsletter, including editorial responsibilities for the content and layout.
  • Logistical organization of periodic Global supply chain conferences, meetings and in-person trainings including content management and conference program management
  • Coordinate and monitor external course/training registrations, communications, and documentation for reporting purposes.
  • Leverage Project Management best practices to support execution of key GSC initiatives
  • Support root cause analysis in process development and safety incidents.

External: HR, IT, finance, IPD leadership

Job Requirements:

  • Education Requirements: University Graduate. Post-Graduate qualifications a plus
  • 5 years professional experience in Supply Chain, Safety Operational Improvement, Education, HR development, or Training
  • Broad knowledge and experience in vehicle and fleet management, property and asset management, and supply chain systems
  • Must have experience in process improvement/safety management, preferably from a manufacturing or construction organization.
  • Proven record of project management and collaboration
  • Experience in documenting process maps and developing SOPs
  • Knowledge of the principles of organizational development and adult learning and education.
  • Must have the ability to work on multiple tasks at any one time while maintaining high quality standards
  • Be able to communicate well with a broad spectrum of people, to determine their needs or issues
  • Highly skilled in using and learning new technology and digital platforms
  • Able to work effectively in a matrix organizational structure
  • Working Knowledge of French, Arabic and English.

Working Environment: Standard office work environment. Ability to travel to all countries IRC operations in, expected to be less than 10%
