Background/IRC Summary:
INEE is recruiting a Coordinator for Knowledge Management to assist with network communications and knowledge management. The INEE Coordinator for Knowledge Management reports to the Senior Communications Coordinator and assists in developing and implementing the INEE communications strategy, with a primary focus on developing and managing content for INEE's e-communications/listserv, website, and social media channels.
The expected start date is in August 2018.

Major Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Senior Communications Coordinator, the INEE Coordinator for Knowledge Management will provide support to ensure the quality of INEE's knowledge management, communications, and membership outreach. Duties may include:
Communications strategy
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the INEE communications strategy.
- Manage INEE communications calendars, including the scheduling of INEE and partner content.
- Stay abreast of relevant communications initiatives, including reaching out to INEE partners and sharing relevant content across INEE channels.
- Monitor and evaluate existing INEE communications channels; research, propose, and implement new channels to reach INEE audiences.
Website development and content management
- Day-to-day management of INEE's web presence, including updating content, drafting webpages and features, coordinating translations, activating new content entries, and database management.
- Help coordinate INEE's various language websites (English, Arabic, French, Portuguese, and Spanish), to ensure content is regularly updated, relevant items are translated, and contributions sourced.
- Develop and maintain thematic and other collections as part of the INEE Resource Database.
- Update and maintain the user guides for the INEE website; and train new users on the use of INEE content management tools.
- Source external content contributions, particularly blog posts.
- Produce regular website usage reports using Google Analytics.
Social Media
- Day-to-day management of INEE's Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn channels.
- Develop social media campaigns relevant to INEE thematic areas and activities, and promote the content of INEE partners.
- Prepare monthly social media activity reports and maintain the INEE social media user guide.
E-communications
- Compile and prepare the INEE Bi-Weekly Bulletin and other regular messages.
- Collect and prepare INEE's monthly Language Community updates for dissemination.
- Assist in the drafting and preparation of INEE email messages.
Member Services
- Assist in the development, implementation, and follow-up of INEE membership campaigns to recruit new members and motivate existing members to update their online profiles and email preferences.
- Produce a monthly report of the overall INEE membership.
- Manage the bi-annual INEE Meet-Ups event.
Other
- Help ensure consistent use of INEE's logo and proper branding of INEE publications, tools, templates, and outputs.
- Draft, review, copy-edit, and assist with the preparation of INEE publications, grant proposals, and reports.
- Assist in the production of the INEE Annual Report.
- Manage translation jobs for INEE communications and publications content.
- Cultivate and manage media contacts and relations.
- Track INEE's media presence.
- Provide general support to the INEE Secretariat, as requested.

Job Requirements:
- Commitment to human rights, child rights, and the right to education
- A university degree in a relevant field: communications, information management, journalism, international development, non-profit management; Masters degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years of directly relevant professional experience
- Fluency in English, with a preference for candidates with additional fluency in French, Spanish, Portuguese, and/or Arabic
- Strong written communications skills, in particular an ability to translate dense and technical information into easy to understand and accessible content.
- Strong web management skills, including using content management systems, search engine optimization, and analytical
- Experience using social media platforms; preference for a candidate who has managed social media accounts for a non-profit organization
- Knowledge of the field of education in emergencies and familiarity with INEE preferred
- Ability to be flexible and work well independently, under pressure, and in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills; the ability to track and follow-up on various tasks
- Good interpersonal skills; the ability to successfully interact with a variety of people
- Flexible work attitude; the ability to follow direction and effectively learn and work in an inter-agency environment as well as self-motivate
